Former national team ODI captain Tamim Iqbal went to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hasan Papon`s residence to meet him. It is known that he went there to inform the BCB president about the current condition of his health.
Tamim did not face the media after the meeting on Monday. However, he wanted to talk to the journalists in the afternoon.
Regarding the meeting with Tamim, the BCB president said, "I did not have much conversation with him. I will talk to him during BPL. I am busy now."
Papon also said, "I have heard about Tamim. I don`t know about many things. I have to know about many things and then I will have discussion again."
Tamim returned from England a few days ago. Naturally, he was supposed to go to the BCB president to inform about his current situation.
He has not been seen on the field since September 23 for the national team. There has been a lot of gossips about Tamim`s future in cricket circles for a long time.
Him not being in the World Cup created quite a dramatic situation. Later he was not seen in the team. Since then he is still out of the field.
He also withdrew his name from the upcoming Test series in the country against New Zealand. He will not even be there for the away series that is going to be held in New Zealand.
Earlier, this opening batsman of the Bangladesh team suddenly announced his retirement during the Afghanistan series in July this year. Later on the request of the Prime Minister, he withdrew the announcement of retirement.
